All about Sophia Grace

I know I know its been awhile... Sophia has kept us on our toes since the day she was born. In just over 4 1/2 months she has grown and learned so much! Sophia would like to share her accomplishments big and small!

1. Sophia started to sleep through the night at about 8 weeks. Mommy and Daddy are very lucky to have such a good sleeper!

2. Sophia started daycare shortly after the first of the year at Lil Stars. Her daycare is an in-home daycare located in Hanover. We absolutely love it and couldn't have asked for a better place. She has grown leaps and bounds with daycare. She keeps the other kids entertained with her gibberish, and has made many new friends.

3. Sophia finds her voice! Has she ever found her voice! She tells story, after story. Her stories are often our alarm clock in the morning. Probably the best way for a parent to be woken up.

4. Sophia rolls! Oh boy does she roll! She rolls from back to tummy and tummy to back. She started shortly after starting daycare so approximately 12 weeks old. Changing her diaper is a challenge as she finds the need to take every chance to roll over!

5. Sophia can sit up! With assistance of course. Between home and daycare she is getting closer each day to sitting on her on her own. Our princess is growing way too fast!

6. Sophia and teething. They are starting to show so its only a matter of time before the teeth poke through. She will chew on anything she can get in her mouth.

We will continue to post about our princess. She is our pride and joy and completes this perfect trio!

Duo turns Trio

Sophia Grace Taylor
Born October 3rd at 9:13am
Weighing 8 pounds 3 ounces and 21 inches long.

Matthew and I couldn't be any more in love with our little princess. She stole our hearts from the instant we laid eyes on her. Making her debut appearance just 1 day after our wedding anniversary, and sharing her birthday with her Uncle Erik. October 2nd started just like any other day. I had my weekly doctor appointment and dinner plans with friends to celebrate our anniversary and our friend Kelsey's birthday. It was a typical day at work and as any other day I prepared my desk just incase I wouldn't return. Never did I think that it would be my last day for the next 12 weeks as her due date wasn't for another 10 days. I really wasn't feeling myself during dinner. I was exhausted and my back was sore, and just plain old didn't feel well. Thinking I just over did myself that day I convinced Matt that we didn't need to go to the Hospital and I wasn't in labor. After being home for not even an hour my water broke at 10pm. I woke Matt up to tell him it was time and he jumped off the couch and started gathering our bags. I don't know if it was my nerves or what but Matt running around getting stuff together I couldn't help but laugh. He's asking for help and I'm just standing there laughing at him. Needless to say he didn't find anything funny at that moment.

We made it to the Hospital by 10:30pm. The staff was quick and got me into a room and by 11pm I had my epidural and I was comfortable and ready to sleep. Just 6 hours later I was ready to push. I spiked a temperature which indicated an infection so they started me on antibiotics and told me Sophia would head to special care after she was born for monitoring and antibiotics. After 3 hours of pushing in for a c-section we went. As much as I didn't want a c-section my doctor was there to assure us that everything would be just fine. After being rolled into the operating room it wasn't much longer before we had our princess.
